Today makes 20 days we have been in school! The children are doing a wonderful job following our school rules and routines. In math, we have been working with the numbers 0-5 and using the terms "more than", "fewer than" "the same as". The daily homework that goes home is at their individual level for that lesson. It enforces what we have learned for the day. In Reader's Workshop we have been looking at parts of a book (cover, title, author and illustrator) and starting to point to words we see on the page. In Writer's Workshop we have been talking about oral storytelling and how to get our ideas on paper. They are starting to label their pictures and write down letters for the sounds they hear. I am so proud of all their progress thus far!! Thank you for your continued efforts at home! Here they are counting out groups of 5 for our 20th day bracelets!! |
